Friends-
I am asking that you might read my note and consider attaching it to your booster club web-site or e-mail distribution list. It is important that more Fairport families get information about the planned PHASE III renovations and the vote scheduled for December 6, 2007 at Minerva DeLand School.
What I like most about the Phase III renovation plan is that it focuses on the priorities of instruction, technology and safety needs in all schools. The safety renovations include single point of entry for all elementary and middle schools, cameras and controlled doors at the perimeter of the schools. Technology improvements call for the fiber cable, wireless drops and video/cable/internet projection for all classrooms. Instructional improvements are specific to the needs of each building. With rising costs and concern about taxes we have been careful to create a renovation plan that is based on these priority needs and provides vote options for the community. You can vote separately for improvements for parking, improvements for Baumer Place and the Buildings and Grounds office, improvements for the District Office and for the instructional improvements at all schools.
Specifically, I want you, your booster club and community youth programs to be aware that some of the instructional improvements include important physical education, athletic and community recreation facility renovations. Did you know that Phase III renovations include
:
Brooks Hill: An expanded gym and new locker rooms
Jefferson Avenue: New locker rooms
Martha Brown: Increased storage for fitness equipment thus creating space for a fitness center adjacent to the gym
Minerva DeLand An expanded fitness center and renovated locker rooms and storage area for equipment
The Fairport web-site, www.fairport.org has video tours of renovation changes at each building and power-point files explaining the goals and the costs for these changes. At the left banner phase iii renovations provides this information or at each site for the specific school you can access the details.
Just this small menu above provides an understanding of why I am excited about our planned Phase III renovations and how they support the quality kids, programs and community of Fairport.

Hello Ladies! I cannot believe how quickly the season went. It was great getting to see most of you at the
banquet. Hope you enjoy your dvd of the season. For those of you graduating and going off to college I
wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Send me an email or give me a call and let me know
where you are going. For those of you returning next year please find time to send me an email every
week or two weeks and let me know what you are doing. It will help us to make plans and prepare for
next year, plus maintaining contact will help keep the communication lines open. The email can be simple
as 4 miles mon, felt good, 6 miles tue but knee hurt.

Congrats to Jenn on her State Meet race. Despite a cramp after the mile she still finished well in a field of
Nationally recognized talent. The banquet will be Sunday, November 18th at 11am. I hope to see
everyone there. I will be a little late due to a race with the Brockport Distance Project club team. Coach
Brown and I have been talking and have started to lay the framework for next year already and have some
ideas in the making... more details later. Best wishes to all and good luck in you winter season endeavors.

Congrats to the girls who represented the Lady Raiders at Sectionals. They ran to a strong second place
finish on the tough Marcus Whitman course. We had a few girls show up to support the team and cheer.
They definately helped boost the drive to push the race to exhaustion at the finish line. Thanks to
Alanna, Renee, Jennie and Katie for coming with us on the bus. The seven girls that took to the line were
determined to run the best that they could and we saw some gutsy performances. Jenn took the early
lead and set a blistering pace, going through the first mile in about 5:30. Packing up and racing well
together were Rosie, Jordyn and Angela with Ashley, Julie and Laura falling in the top 31 places. Despite
the low finish places the team lost to Hilton who took 1, 2, and 3... for a low score. Moving on to the State
meet next weekend is Jenn. Best of luck to her.

Quick little addition to the county entry... we all would not have been able to reach our full race
potential had it not been for the cheering of Maris. She not only cheers for us but cheers for people in
orange, cause it was a Halloweeny color, the person who looks like they are having a bad race, and
everyone. She loves being around this sport and supporting it. Coach Brown and I give her our many,
many thanks for all the mile splits she took this season.

What a nice-ish day counties turned out to be. When we arrived it looked like it was going to turn
super nice, with some patches of blue sky, but things changed and it was overcast most of the day
with the rain holding off til the awards, where we felt only a sprinkle.
Getting the day started for the lady Raiders were the JV runners. Emyli lead the team through the course,
with an even minute time of 24:00. Following in a pack separated by 4 seconds were Eleanor, Greta and
Alanna. Alanna even managed a smile in the finish chute upon seeing the camera. Erin, despite the blue
eye mascara (which means she is sick), felt great and rounded out the top 5. Elizabeth A. and Renee were
the displacers while Liz rounded out the group, finishing her season able to go the distance.
The next race of the day was exciting, but then again aren't all of the races? The varsity race. Despite
missing Rosie, out for a softball game, the girls managed to take 4th place. Staying with the lead pack
of 5 girls over the course was Jenn, placing 5th and earning All-County Status. Also earning All-County
status were Angela and Jordyn, finshing only 7 seconds apart. Taking home second team All-County
status from their effort were Ashley, Julie and Laura. Rounding out the 7 girls in the race was Lauren.
The girls earning all-county team status are continuing on to sectionals and will be joined by Rosie.
Last race of the day, but definately a good one to watch contained 4 seniors. Breaking up a sweep by
Mendon of the race were Hillary and Dani, both continuing on to sectionals. Not far behind was Keri,
racing her heart out as usual and earning a spot on the sectional team in the process. Little Elizabeth S.
followed, racing well despite the limited training this season. Jennie, spurred on by cheers from her
friend Paige rounded out the top 5. A seasoned veteran, Katie crossed the finish line at the county meet
for the 4th time, showing her committment and dedication to this team. The last girl in for the raiders
for the day was Jenna, smiling shortly after.
What a great day for the seven seniors on the team to have had their last county championship race. Best
of luck in your future endeavors to Katie, Julie,Dani, Laura, Lauren, Jenna and Hillary. We hope that you
enjoyed being a part of this team, we know that we enjoyed having you part of the team.
With the races completed it was time to eat and eat well, as many only snacked on the delicious food
at the picnic prior to racing. All the excellent cookies, soup, hotdogs, hot cocoa and other goodies
were wonderful. Looking ahead, Saturday, November 3 is the Section V championship meet at Marcus
Whitman. Our girls race at 3, any and all cheering in support of our team is welcome.

Great job at counties everyone... and a big thanks to all of our parents who supported the teams and did a great job with the picnic. Just a quick note here, more later.
1. Uniforms will be collected on Monday at 3:00 at the High School. They need to be cleaned prior to
returning. Please put them in a bag. I will be checking to make sure the numbers match the ones issued
to you. Please do not just leave the bag with me.
2. We will be having a celebration for a birthday after uniforms are collected.
3. Those continuing on as the sectional team will have practice at about 3:30 down at the park. You may
put backpacks, etc in my car and I will drive them down. You will jog to the park for your warm up. We
will save your celebration treat for after the workout.

Greetings!
Wow, I can't believe it is championship time for the team. Time sure did fly by. This week is going to
be easy and recovery after our workout Monday. Reminder, there is no practice on Wednesday. Enjoy the
day off to catch up on school work, get some sleep and relax. County meet is this weekend. We are in
all 3 girls races for the day (Varsity, Varsity "B" and JV). If you are not sure what race you are in ask.
Also, Pasta load Friday night... ask Lauren for details.

Last league meet of the season at Basil A Marilla Park (aka English Rd) and the lady raiders had spectacular
performances. The ladies even decorated t-shirts after practice yesterday and looked great in them today.
A fairly spectator friendly and fast course meant that many girls ran good times. Cheering
their teammates in were Maris and Renee. Maris even found a pair of scissors on the playground.
Elizabeth S. was running a fast time and decided to pull out of the race cause of some pain, a smart choice
so that she will be ready for the county meet. A most notable performance of the day comes from Emyli,
smashing the 24 minute barrier by over a minute. Seconds behind Emyli was Katie. Katie ran her best
time of the year to finish her senior season of league meets. Another senior Dani decided to run the race
to enjoy the company of her teammates. She ran and finished within seconds of Elizabeth A., Greta and
Eleanor. What an awesome sight to see a pack of 4 girls come into the finish stretch only 7 seconds apart.
With the 4 pack in sight Erin sprinted to the finish and is becoming stronger and healthier each day.
Alanna cruised through the course, finishing between the Emyli/Katie group and the 4 pack of Dani.
Liz competed in her first meet since Center Park and went out there with the mind set of just run 3 miles.
It worked for her and she worked through most of the course with other teams, then distanced herself
as the finish approached. Jenna finished her senior season of league meets with her fastest time of the
season and only 1 second slower than McQuaid. What a great way to finish the league meets and be
ready for Counties.
Out in the front of the race was a big red blur, formed by a huge pack running together for about the
first mile, then spreading out- but not by much. Leading the way was Jenn, with Rosie only 11 seconds
behind. Following behind were Angela and Ashley, only 5 seconds apart. Moving into the top 5 for the
week was Jordyn. What a great performance by her. Jordyn has been continually improving all season
and her hard work is showing. Less than 20 seconds separated a pack of 4 that followed.
Laura, Julie, Lauren and Hillary rounded the corner to the finish and it was a kick to the finish for places.
The top pack of girls is a close call, with what seems to be continually changes to places 6/7 each week.
Falling in just behind the pack of 4 (Julie, Laura, Hillary, Lauren) was Jennie and Keri. Jennie once again
finished and promptly yanked her shoes off. Seconds behind Jenne was Keri, running with her usual
heart and waiting at the chute for all her teammates to finish.
What a great way to end the league meets. Fairport takes home 3 wins for the day against Brockport,
Eastridge and Churchville Chili. The bus ride home consisted of chocolate chip cookies and brownies.
Thanks for the brownies Heather! There will be practice on Friday after school at the Park. Practice for
Saturday has been cancelled due to the many tests being offered that day.

Manhattan Invitational... it was a beautiful fall day, temps in the 50's and sunny. The ladies ran in the
Eastern States Race, which is many of the best schools from the area (NY, MA, MD...). The challenging
2.5 mile course at VanCortlandt park was determined to beat up the team, but it could not have imagined
their determination. Between the crushed gravel, railroad ties and steep up and down hills the team
performed well.
Friday Rosie hurt her ankle at a softball game, we met her at the park to find her in an aircast with crutches.
We think, alright, we will only have six girls racing tomorrow, we can handle that. Not the case, she felt
fine, had her ankle taped and went on to finish the course feeling fine.
That isn't the only story of determination to come out of the day, we still have more. The hills are
tough to navigate with the railroad ties, and are made more difficult by the masses of people in each
race. Jenn put herself in a position to do well, but some girl liked where she was running and cut in
front of her, causing Jenn to trip and fall befor the mile mark. She lost her bib number in the fall, in
addition to scraping up her knees, legs, hip and elbows. This did not deter her, she got up finished
the race only seconds back from where she had hoped to be.
While on the course run through Angela thought she would count the railroad ties in her race outloud,
while she didn't go on to do that, she did go on to run a great race. Hillary, Laura and Ashley cruised
through the course and had some carrott cake when they finished. Julie finished well, considering
stairs (formed by railroad ties) and hills are the most painful thing for her to run on.
The representing lady raiders ran well and had a memorable trip. The next meet for the whole team is
Tomorrow, Tuesday October 16 at English Rd. Park at 4:30. This is the last league meet of the
season.

It was a beautiful fall day at Webster Park and a great day for a race. The lady raiders took an early lead
and ran in packs over the course. Jenn and Rosie once again were the leaders, cruising through the
park in under 20 minutes. Angela and Ashley were a pair with Jordyn remaining within watching distance from behind. Jordyn ran a great race and rounded out the top 5 for the day.
Hillary and Laura were our displacers, cruising in under 22 minutes.
Julie was all over the course, even forging streams to cheer for her teammates.
Finishing within 15 seconds of one another was a strong pack of Dani, Lauren and Keri.
The red packs could be seen all over the place and it was a lovely complement to the yellow leaves on
the trees and ground and the green grass. Our next pack was Emyli, Katie and Jennie.
Talk about a close finish, the three girls were separated by 4 seconds total.
Cheering in our big pack of 5girls was Maris, Liz, Greta and Renee. The finish was a little confusing
with the girls so tightly packed and Elizabeth S. tripping and quickly getting back on her feet to cross
the line with Erin and Elizabeth A. just in front of her and Alanna and Eleanor just behind her.
The team took home 3 wins agains Irondequoit, Greece Athena and Greece Odyssey. This weekend
some of our girls travel to VanCortlandt Park to race at the Manhattan Invite. The next race for the
team as well as the last league meet of the season will be Tuesday, October 16th at English Rd park
or Basil A. Marilla, whatever you prefer to call it. Looking forward to a great week of practice and
an exciting weekend of some great races on a famous course.

I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend. I know I had a nice time Saturday getting to run with my club
team despite the fact that I had a bad race, only made worse by the heat and humidity. Similar conditions
were faced by the girls Friday night at the Irondequoit-Penfield Invitational. It was a nice evening and the
course was dry (which almost never happens). We had a stellar cheer team there, kicking off the racing
lady Raiders with a cheer. Performing with Buddah were Rosie, Angela, Ashley, Jenn and Laura. Bright
colors and body paint, they were seen all over the course and were quite the spectacle.
Our racers were lead by Jordyn and Jennie, both placing in the top 10 and earning medals for their efforts.
Right from the starting gun, only one minute aftere the guys race, Jordyn and Jennie were out front with
the lead girls and quickly mixed in among the back group of boys and continued to work forward.
Emyli ran a great race and placed 20th with a strong kick and a determined face. I anticipate a great
race from her at Webster. The Harris Whalen course is deceptively hard with a steep but small course in
the back woods that the runners go up twice. In addition is the road leading from the school to the
water tower and then the up and back down a fairly steep incline the last mile.
Katie cruised into the finish with her teammates in their bright colors cheering wildly. She helped to
bring Eleanor around the course. Not many steps behind was Alanna, pushing herself as always to do
her best. Keri and Erin rounded out the team for the day. Both were feeling a little under the weather
but mananged to work through it and finish the race.
Liz, Renee, Maris and Elizabeth S. were out on the course taking splits, cheering and supporting their
teamates once again. Hope that all enjoyed their Saturday and Sunday away from practice and racing.
Next meet is Tuesday at Webster Park, girls race at 4:30.

Pics have been updated with McQuaid Invitational and Mendon East being added. Sorry that it took so
long but it was a busy week for me. We have the Irondequoit-Penfield invite tonight for those not going
to Manhattan next weekend. Meet is at Harris Whalen. For those of you who have been busy and may
have missed some announcements, no practice Saturday, you are on your own. Those racing today
have an easy recovery day and those who did not race have a long run. All are off on Sunday.
REMINDER: Monday is Columbus Day, which means no school. We still have practice. We will be meeting
at the High School at 9am to go to Marcus Whitman to check out the Sectional Course. Bring whatever
gear you will need. We will have bagels for the bus ride home.

Our Tuesday meet at Mendon East, quite a day for the lady raiders. After quite the motivational poem
read by Rosie and Angela on the bus the team was pumped and ready to face off against the other schools.
We were fortunate to have many of the girls join us along the course cheering, although we hope that they
are back in action and racing soon. Liz and Maris were out at the mile taking splits and crazily cheering as
Jenn and Rosie approached near the front of the race. Seconds behind were Angela, Ashley and Julie. It
needs to be said that Julie ran a great race considering she could not breathe from the get go and
managed to hang onto her positioning in the pack, not giving up a spot. Renee and Erin were around
cheering wildly as Laura, Lauren, Jordyn, Hillary and Keri finished within 10 seconds of one another.
Keri and Jordyn had a battle for who would cross the line first, with a slight lead going to Jordyn, but
Keri put up a great fight.
Dani was next for the team, having been out sick the day before and still feeling under the weather, she
still finished and felt alright. Emyli pulled Katie along to the finish. Katie demonstrated a nice kick,
but it was no match for Emyli. Coming off two great race performances last week was Alanna, a
little tired, but still smiling. Eleanor finished strong and lead the way with Elizabeth A. and Elizabeth S.
keeping their eyes on her as they rounded their way to the finish. Elizabeth S. put on a huge kick and
pulled Elizabeth A. along with her. Jennie started the race but the terrain proved too painful for her to
continue and she choose to wait and race strong another day.
The team won 2 out of 3 dual meets for the day, defeating Spencerport 19-44 and Sutherland 16-47.
The loss of the day was against Hilton, with a score of 31-24. For some of the lady raiders our next
meet in on Friday at Harris Whalen for the Irondequoit Penfield Invitational, for others it will be on
Tuesday at Webster Park.

Hello! It's been a while so here's the updates on what's been happening and going on
:
MCQUAID: could we have had more perfect weather? Usually the course is a muddy rainy mess, but this
year we were fortunate to have dry and sunny conditions with great temps, leading to fast times over
the course. In the lady raiders first race of the day we had 3 girls competing with 5 cheerers. In the
Freshman/Sophomore race we had Elizabeth A. cross the line first and close behind was Eleanor and
Erin (our Ex3 team). Elizabeth had a great finish kick and Eleanor would have been right there with her
had she not needed to stop for a moment due to not feeling well. Along the course cheering was Maris,
Liz, Greta, Renee and Elizabeth S. I know that their cheering motivated their teammates to pick it up
and get to that finish in great time.
Later that day (3:28 to be exact) the gun went off for the other girls race of the day. With the 13th spot
on the line we were in a good position, a large gap off to one side (no elbows there) due to a tree.
In the race with some nationally ranked teams the ladies did well, with Jenn being the first finisher
followed by Rosie. Both earned the coveted McQuaid Invitational t-shirts that you can only get by being
a top finisher. Rounding out the top 5 were Angela, Julie and Ashley. Finishing within 30 seconds of
one another were Laura, Keri and Hillary, but an even closer finish of less than 15 seconds separated
Lauren, Jordyn and Dani. Polishing off the Fairport girls racing that day were Emyli, Alanna, Katie,
Jennie and Jenna. Of tremendous help to myself and Coach Brown were the girls taking splits and
cheering on their teammates.

Tuesdays meet proved to be challenging in terms of both weather and competition. The day started out
hot and got even hotter, with temps creeping into the 90's by race time and cooling to the mid 80's
when the girls were on the starting line. I locked my keys in the car so waited for AAA and met the team
at the park. Upon arriving Heather and I went out and chalked the road to help give the girls an extra
boost on the lonely stretch of the course.
Another delay since we had the additions of the mods with us this week meant keeping mentally ready to run, many of the girls knowing they needed to get going to their academic excellence dinner.
When the race did go off, the girls could be heard saying "Marco, Polo" for the first 200 meters.
They put themselves in position to do well and when they came down into Grand Central (where all the
trails cross), Jenn was in the lead and the other girls were not far behind, each with a
Rush Henrietta girl in sight. After a little loop out to more spectator friendly territory the girls came
back to Grand Central and started the ascent up coronary, the lesser of the two evil hills at Mendon West.
After coronary the racing began as the racers were out of sight for the next mile or so, with a nice
gradual downhill and flat. Jenn came out first and crossed the line, showing determination and placing
a large gap on the RH girl. Following (and taking the odd places) were Rosie (breaking 22 min.) and
Julie (improving her time by about a minute), Angela and Ashely (breaking 22 for the first time this
season).
Rounding out the top 7 were Laura (improving by about a minute) and Hillary, also improving by about
a minute. Other notable performances of the day were Alanna (breaking 24 minutes), Elizabeth A.
(about a minute faster), and Lauren (about 20 seconds faster). The way the course was laid out over
the last 800 meters you could see the train of Dani, Keri, Jordyn and Katie, each about 10 seconds apart.
Emyli, Greta and Eleanor finished close to one another, as did Jennie, Jenna and Renee. Erin has been
sick the past few weeks and struggled with a side stitch before deciding to try again another day.
We are proud of her for going to the starting line and giving it a try. Liz took splits for us and Maris
ran what she could before gracefully dropping out of the race. A most notable performance must be
mentioned here of a Miss Jennie Jennie.
Jennie went to the starting line with her feet hurting, and feeling like they were burning. She choose to
run anyways. When I saw her just after the mile I looked at her and said "do you need to stop?" She
looked at me and shook her head no and picked up her stride, determined to finish. After multiple
stops along the course to take off her shoes to help alleviate some of the pain, she finished, shoes on.
Immediately upon crossing the line she collapsed and ripped her shoes off and iced to help squash the
burning sensation. Although she is disappoined in her time I know that all of her teammates are proud
of her.

COACH'S CHALLENGE
:
The last time that Fairport ran at Mendon West was against my old team when I was in High School. I ran an amazing time, my best for the season and we beat Fairport for the first time in a long time. So my challenge is to see if you can "beat the ghost Amanda" out on the course. Let's see how many of us can run a 21:10 or better on the course.

Yesterday was league meet of the season #2 at Black Creek. The girls ran quite well and pulled out a win
over Brighton, Penfield and Gates Chili. Some of you may have noticed an new face hanging around the
team, her name is Heather and she will be joining us for the season as she completes her coaching
certification. Crossing the line side by side, just like last year was Renee and Eleanor, fortunately this
year there was no bee sting. Within eyesight for most of the race ws Jenna. Once again we had a tight
pack,this week containing Dani, Keri, Jordyn, Lauren and Laura with Hillary keeping them in her sights.
Leading the way for the team was Jenn followed by Rosie, Angela and Julie with Ashley rounding out the
top 5. This week we saw Alanna and Emyli improve on their times and Greta ran in her first race of the
season. Elizabeth A. had a strong finishing kick, which I hear was quite impressive. Missing from the
scene was Katie, who was sick. But Maris, Liz, Erin and Elizabeth S. did plenty of cheering to keep the
team going strong throughout the race. Jennie made the decision to pull out of the race at the mile
since she was hurting, but we are all proud of her for having the courage to go to the starting line and
give it a try.
Scores for the meet Fairport 21, Thomas 38. Fairport 22, Brighton 33. Fairport 24, Penfield 31.

What an interesting day it was. It rained this morning, then was clearing up but windy.
Prior to the start of the girls race a dark and eerie cloud was above, would it hold out until after the race?
Fortunately it did. After quite a delay due to bus issues (it happens to all schools).
Erin's blue eyelashes meant she didn't feel well, therefore she didn't compete,
but she makes one great cheerleader! Maris, Greta and Elizabeth A. took the mile and three mile splits.
Leading the way through the course for the lady Raiders was Jenn. Moving as a group through most of the
course were Julie, Rosie, Angela and Ashley. Another tight pack was Jennie, Keri, Laura, Jordyn, Lauren
and Dani. Less than thirty seconds separated the group, which is amazing.
Hillary ran knee pain free, with a woodchip stuck to her spike most of the way. Working with one
another and giving energy to each other were Katie, Elizabeth and Emyli.
Alanna ran a great race, keeping Emyli in sight for the race and closing the gap over the last half mile.
Renee and Eleanor began crossing the line together (well almost) in the same fashion as they did last
year. This year they were running, not walking. Liz ran in her first 3 mile race and was able to keep
Jenna in her sights.
The lady raiders post two wins and one loss at the season opener at Center Park.
Scores for the meet were Fairport 15, Batavia 48. Fairport 18, Schroeder 41
And the loss to Mendon with Mendon scoring 19 points and Fairport 37.
We look forward to another week of training before heading to Black Creek next Tuesday.

I cannot believe that today is your first day of school, hope it is going well.
Another thing that is hard to believe that in less than a week we will have had our first meet.

Welcome to the second week of practice. E
veryone is looking great and I know that Brownie and I are quite pleased with what we are seeing.
Some reminders about this week: Tuesday we are traveling to check out Mendon West and
Thursdaya we are traveling to check out English Rd (or Basil A. Marilla).
Also, Wednesday night at 7pm there is a parent meeting at the High School for all fall sports
followed by individual team meetings.
All parents and athletes should plan on attending.
Remember to have your parents bring their checkbooks to join the booster club or
order you some xc gear (sweatshirts, pants, hats...)
My test went well on Saturday, I get my results in late September.
While I was taking a test I know that some of you were traveling to look at colleges,
others were taking siblings back to college and some of you participated in the
Greece Police Athletic League Race. I looked up the times and WOW!
I wish that more of you were able to race, but our scheduled races are coming.

Great job on the first day of practice ladies!
Too bad the weather wasn't a little nicer, some sun would have been nice
but I suppose we needed the rain.
Don't forget to bring in your orangish pink cards as well as the calendar with your milage
and the Greece Police Chase Race Entry form plus whether or now we will be ordering you fast pants.
Have fun in the pool at 6AM!
Don't forget to go out and get some flip-flops if you plan on going to Ashley's Friday.

Horray! Our first day of practice is Monday, August 20th at 3:30 Center Park.
Make sure you bring something to drink, water or some sports drink and you may also want to bring a snack for after (granola bar...)
Hopefully you have been going out for your runs this summer and are ready to practice. See you Monday :)

Hello Ladies! I hope that your summer training is going well and that
you are healthy and ready for the upcoming season. I know that Coach Brown and I are very
excited. I've been busy with summer classes but finding time to run and bike.
I look forward to meeting everyone at our first day of practice.
Don't forget that you need to have been cleared by the nurse to be eligible for practice.
