Second league meet of the season lead to wins for the Lady Raiders. Rosie lead the team and finished the
race in first place. Jordyn, Jennie, Jane, Ashley, and Ashton all placed in the top ten allowing the team to
secure wins over Churchville Chili, East Rochester, Brockport, Spencerport anad Olympia.
Keri was at the mile mark cheering on her teammates Angela, Stacie and Emyli as they came down the
first major hill of the course. Greeting Eleanor, Rachel, Greta and Renee at the top of a monster climb
that concluded near the Harris Whalen water tower were Erin and Jenn. The hill proved to be a critical
test on the course, but unfortunately was not the last climb of the day for the girls. The final hill came as
an up, hairpin turn to back down that is extremely steep and grueling in the late stages of the race.
Elizabeth A and Elizabeth S used the down hill to their advantage and used the momentum from it to help
pick up their turnover during the final half mile to the finish. Marnee rounded out the group for the day
with a strong finish while Alanna took the time to let her hammy heal and pointed out where the course
went to a girl from ER.
It was a beautiful fall day and the course was dry, and well marked allowing for
some great times early in the season. Practice the rest of this week with a meet at Mendon West next
week. A great course that typically produces fast times.

What an exciting day! We woke up to some clouds and cooler temps that remained throughout the am
making for almost ideal racing conditions. Our first meet of the season was exciting, with a close score.
The lady Raiders edged out Webster Thomas by one point with a score of 27 to 28. Gates Chili had a
strong showing, with a Fairport win of 21 to 36. Fairport also defeated Eastridge with a score of 15 to 49.
Leading the team was senior Rosie followed by a pack of Jordyn, Ashton and Jennie. Rounding out the top
8 girls were Angela, Ashley and Shannon followed by Stacie. Keri lead the middle of the race group of
Rachel and Emyli. Meanwhile, Renee cruised in to a PR with Eleanor not far behind--both running the race
together and demonstrating a mighty kick at the end. A strong first race for Elizabeth A to start the season
and Marnee came from skate practice to compete. Elizabeth S having come out of several practices in the
pool was able to run pain free, a victory. We look forward to drastic time improvements as she begins
land training. A wrong turn on the course meant that Jane ran about an extra mile, but still came in
with a solid time. Smiling over the duration of 3.1 miles, were Erin and Alanna. Thanks to Greta for
helping Coach McLendon with getting some splits.
Great job at the first meet of the season ladies. Let's continue to work hard and see what we can accomplish.

Hope that everyone enjoyed the Labor Day Weekend. We had some wonderful weather.
For those at Saturdays practice, great job. For those of you who were not there I hope you were able to
get a run in. Coach McLendon begins her classes and will join us when she can, but her schedule is a
tough one so she may not be around often. We wish her the best of luck and know that she will be cheering
for us even if she is not around. School starts this week so make sure that you are getting enough sleep,
food, etc so that you can continue to become fitter and stronger.
Our first meet is Saturday and I am looking forward to seeing how everyone does.

Greetings! We survived the first week of practice, some warm days, pool sessions and workouts. Things are shaping up well. This week we have a meeting at 7pm at the High School for all athletes and parents. We will give out schedules, answer questions and provide information about our season to all. See you at practice all week. Hopefully you enjoyed your weekend. I'm sure the carwash was a lot of fun considering how warm the weather was.

Greetings Lady Raiders! I know it is early to begin thinking about the 2008 Cross Country season, considering that outdoor track is still just beginning.
However, Coach Brown, Coach McLendon and I had a meeting to begin laying the foundation for a successful season.
In order for us to tailor the program to individuals we are asking that you join the FPT XC team on Flotrackr.
Flotrackr is a running website where you can log your miles, leave messages for friends, view running videos and such. The best part is it is all about running.
We are asking that you do this so that we can monitor your weekly mileage since our system last year was not as effective as we had hoped.
If you do not wish to join Flotrackr (it is free), then we ask that you communicate with one of us on a regular basis via email or a phone call.
We will be having a pre-season meeting, likely in early June. Keep your ears and eyes open for an announcement about it. Enjoy the spring!
